Living Liberty: Joe Rogan

In Advocates of Liberty, Liberty on January 9, 2013 at 3:16 am

“Liberty is for the Living. If you are not living, you have no need for Liberty.”

Liberty is about choice. It is about making your own decisions about how you want to spend what limited time you have on Earth. Liberty is the ability to choose your path free from the coercion of others.

How many of us who understand the truth about “Our Enemy, the State” are truly living?

I’ve been thinking a lot about Life and Liberty lately and the fact that too often those in the Liberty movement (I am guilty as well) harp on only the negative aspects of this world. But in order to be successful in spreading the ideas of Liberty we need to present the positive aspects of freedom. In particular I believe we should highlight those in this world who are already living lives of Liberty in spite of the overwhelming presence of Government in our lives today.

For those who love liberty and want to see a world filled with more Peace and freedom, we should in fact be living a life of liberty in all the areas we are currently capable of.

One person who is living a life of Liberty is Joe Rogan. If you are a UFC fan you know him as the color commentator at all the Pay Per View Shows. Others may know him as the host of Fear Factor and still others may know him as a stand up comedian who was a regualar on the T.V. show News Radio. On top of all that he has one of the most successful podcasts on the planet.

What makes Joe Rogan a man Living Liberty is that he lives the life he desires despite the creeping totalitarianism in this country. He takes full advantage of the choices he has in life. He is a skeptic at heart and questions everything. He admits to taking psychotropic drugs and smokes marijuana on a regular basis. He also trains Brazilian jiu-jitsu and can talk at length about the nature of reality. He also understands the ridiculousness of the drug war and the growing oppressiveness of the police state.

He is an interesting guy who admits that earlier in his life he had a confidence problem. At one stage of his life he considered himself a total “piece of s**t”. It was after he became heavily involved in martial arts d his confidence began to grow. And a lot of Living Liberty is all about Confidence.

“Liberty belongs to the Bold” I hit upon that idea (I’m sure not original) after I read the “Creature From Jekyll Island.” The men who plotted to create the Federal Reserve System were bold, the men at the top of the heap are bold, and those who know the truth but still lie to keep power are bold. Even though their actions are evil they do what they do so they have more and better choices in their lives, in other words they do so to Live Liberty while subjugation others.

Liberty doesn’t exist for those who refuse to live. Live your life fully now don’t wait till the Republicans have control of the Senate or Obama Care is repealed. Live now. People like Joe Rogan, Alex Jones, Steve Rinella, Ted Nugent, Vince Vaughn and many others in this world who are choosing to live are those who in their own way paving the way for others to live Lives of Liberty.

Liberty is choice. It is true as taxation grows, as regulation regiments more and more of your life, and the police state grows, the amount of choices we have and their quality do change. But it does a disservice to ourselves to focus purely on the negative of life and forget the choices that are in our power to make.

Joe Rogan is not a guy who is in the “liberty movement”. I’m not sure where he stands on a some of issues. I do know he’s for legalizing weed and some other drugs and I believe he’s for brining the troops home. But he might harbor progressive ideas about the state. I don’t know. What I do know about is that the man appears to be sincere and genuine in his respect for his fellow human beings. This is evidenced by every time he gets in the Octagon (UFC) and interviews the fighters. He always shows deference, concern and respect for the fighters.

He is also a Capitalist and entrepreneur at heart. He’s developed a clothing line called “Higher Primate”. On his podcast he is a pitchman for such diverse products as the “fleshlight” and On-it supplements. He produced out-of-pocket his most recent standup comedy album. He pursues what he loves. And that should be the message for those spreading the ideas of Liberty. Do what you Love as long as it doesn’t violate the natural rights of others.

Joe Rogan did an Interview with Alex Jones the other day. The two of them are good friends. I’m a big fan of Alex as well. If you haven’t checked out the interview I suggest you do. Something Rogan said in the interview with Alex Jones really stuck with me and I believe it is an integral concept for all of us who want to be more free. He said to Alex when they were talking about the nature of Reality, that the one thing he knows for sure about Reality in this Universe is that he feels good to make people laugh and making people smile. That’s why he does the stand up comedy.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/joe-rogan-truth-seeker-the-interview.html

When we talk to others about Liberty let us not forget this fundamental Law of Nature. It feels good to laugh and smile and to make others do the same. Don’t get so caught up in the misery that the State causes to forget to live your life.

The most miserable in life doesn’t win. Focusing solely on the Negative in life is detrimental to you and the one’s you love. If you want to advance Life, Love and Liberty in your life I suggest you start focusing on the amount and quality of choices you have the most power over. Those in life Living Lives of Liberty who are Happy, Successful and Knowledgable are the one’s best suited for advancing the cause of Liberty.

Thanks to Joe Rogan for Living his life of Liberty.

AP and CNN: America’s version of Pravda- Government Bullets are Good

In True nature of the State on September 5, 2012 at 12:16 am

Let me put everyone at ease over the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) recent purchase of 174,000 rounds of pistol ammo. According to the AP and CNN they are merely for training and normal police work of the 259 agents of the Social  Security Administration’s Inspector General’s Office.

I’m glad the official propaganda arm (a.k.a. the AP and CNN) of the U.S. Federal Government has put to rest the crazy Conspiracy Theory that the Feds are preparing for civil unrest.

I feel better already don’t you? Unfortunately the fact remains that the United States Federal Government has purchased or plans to purchase 1.4 billion rounds of ammo to be used not overseas but inside the U.S. That is not a Conspiracy!!! (Thanks to InfoWars and Alex Jones for breaking this Story!!!)

The CNN article and the AP article both highlight the State’s version of the SSA purchase as “normal”. In both stories they quote the Social Security Administration.

“These investigators have full law enforcement authority, including executing search warrants and making arrests,” the agency said in an August post. “Our investigators are similar to your state or local police officers. They use traditional investigative techniques, and they are armed when on official duty.”

Hollow point bullets are standard-issue items for many police agencies, the Social Security Administration said. The bullets expand when they hit a target and can help prevent injuries to bystanders from bullets passing through a body, according to police.

Investigators “use this ammunition during their mandatory quarterly firearms qualifications and other training sessions, to ensure agent and public safety,” the administration added.

Then the AP further goes on to support the State’s version by quoting two Law Enforcement types:

“For practice ammunition, they do not have to be hollow-points, but hollow-points are the normal police round used for duty ammunition due to their ability to stop when they hit an object as opposed to going through it and striking more objects,” said William J. Muldoon, president of the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training.

“Six hundred rounds per year for training, qualification and I would assume to carry on duty is not out of line at all,” said John W. Worden, director of the University of Missouri’s Law Enforcement Training Institute. “Hollow points are carried by law enforcement all over the country and are probably the preferred type of ammo no matter what caliber.”

And the CNN story instead of quoting police, quote a A Left-Wing Professor who supports the expansive growth of Government.

“This is just the latest in a long history of uniquely American anti-government conspiracy theories, said Kathryn Olmsted, a University of California at Davis history professor and author of “Real Enemies: Conspiracy Theories in American Democracy.”

That another one would surface in the midst of a contentious election cycle and continued unease over the nation’s financial future is not all that surprising, Olmsted said Tuesday.

But this one, she said, seems particularly tenuous.

“It strikes me as one of the more extreme conspiracy theories,” Olmsted said. “I’m surprised it has any traction.”

The AP and CNN maybe reporting the truth about the SSA purchase. But what they are not reporting is the reason why the SSA needs bullets to begin with. Even if these rounds are just for target practice and normal Federal Police Work ,it is still a huge problem. That’s because up until the Progressive era an armed Federal Police force of any kind was unthinkable and believed to be UnConstitutional. But with the Income Tax and Prohibition the power of the State increased and with it the need to have more heavily armed guardians to enforce the confiscatory and liberty killing laws became necessary.

And why does the State need bullets? It’s because it steals property from individuals and other people want to steal it from them.  If the State didn’t force you into the Social Security System, which is the largest Ponzi scheme on Earth, by withholding 6.2% (even though they’ve given us a temporary reprieve) and also steal another 6.2% from your employer every two weeks, they wouldn’t need armed agents. (Incidentally if anyone thinks this is a voluntary program try to opt out. If you do the SSA will tell you to talk to the IRS because they are the enforcement agency for the program.)

Now, I would like to ask Condi Rice and all the other Conservatives how in light of this fact they can continue to say that we live in the freest nation on Earth?

Now all of this Stolen Property known as Social Security is a huge pot that other criminals will naturally target. But the State being the biggest gang on the block doesn’t want anyone else to get a piece of the action so they have armed Federal Agents to ensure that they have complete control of the stolen loot.

Like my brother said, once one freedom is given up another five go with it. That is how it is with Social Security, the income tax, and every other government intervention into your life. A Police State is growing in this Country in leaps and bounds because the intervention of Government into our lives is growing. That is not a coincidence!!!  The SSA purchase of 174,000 rounds just highlights this FACT. Think of the phrase from the SSA “These investigators have full law enforcement authority, including executing search warrants and making arrests”.

To me that is scary. How many agencies of the Federal Government have that power now? The IRS, TSA, Homeland Security and the SSA just to mention a few. Then you have the DEA, the BATF and FBI. As the Imperial Bureaucracies grow so will the size of the departments who guard them. The recent 1.4 billion rounds of ammo purchase or ordered that is intended for use inside of the United States by the Federal Government is a fact.

No amount of white washing by the AP or CNN will change that. In the past the Hippies would have been up in arms about such a purchase. But the Progressive/Collectivists are in power and they want to remain in power. Unfortunately history is full of the accounts of what Governments do with power.

What the AP and CNN fail to report  that in the 20th century  Communist Governments killed over 170 million of their own citizens by hanging, boiling them alive, burning them alive, burying them alive, beating them to death, starving them to death and by shooting them, not with marshmallows or with teddy bears, but with BULLETS!!! That is not a Conspiracy Theory. That is the Truth.

That statistic is frightening in and of itself but the counter side to that is that “Democratic Governments” around the world have killed tens of millions of people as well during the 20th century and were directly responsible for allowing Stalin, Mao and Hitler to take power. As Collectivism grows so does the need to enforce these artificial freedom killing policies against individuals whether it’s in Democratic or Communist Countries. This is always done by the State through armed agents.

As Albert J Nock wrote the struggle is always between “Society and the State”. Society is the peaceful voluntary interactions between individuals and the State is the coercive predatory plundering entity that seeks to control and kill. Now why wouldn’t the AP and CNN be on the side of Society?

The CNN article takes the idea even one step further with the quotes from Olmsted. On one hand the Social Security administration and Homeland Securities purchases of ammo isn’t nefarious at all and at the same time these purchase are some how justified because of all the conspiracy nut cases out there. George Orwell himself would have been amazed at that logic.

If the reporters wanted to actually hold Government accountable they would seek to uncover the truth about the State. And in particular how an armed Federal Police Force was anathema to the founding of this fading Republic and that taxation is really theft.

Here are some links to the stories and the SSA’s official website – so you can judge for yourself.

Unfortunately the reporters for the AP and CNN aren’t interested in uncovering the truth. They are only interested in ingratiating themselves to those in power and helping to propagate the growing Police State.

The Myth of Private Property in America and The Faux Free Market

In True nature of the State on September 4, 2012 at 5:13 pm

Private Property is at the Heart of the Free Market which Murray Rothbard Described as the “field of exchange of title of ownership between individuals.”

Today almost no one talks about Private Property in America any longer. This used to be the defining aspect of the American Ideal. That individuals were able to acquire, control and dispose of property as they saw fit without the coercive hand of government. Unfortunately fewer and fewer American’s believe in that fundamental idea.

The “No Trespassing” sign that people put up in their yards is exactly what the idea of Private Property is all about. It is the fact that this land, your property, your person are private. That means they do not belong to the “Collective”, they are not “Communal Property” to be used or dispersed by some benevolent despot, gang of “Voters”  or enlightened cadre of professors and politicians.

The motto “Don’t Tread on Me” is simply a “No Trespassing” sign. I would like to see “No Trespassing” signs become the hallmark of the Freedom Movement because if you can not own property, then you can not live free.

Private Property is about Ownership and as Mises Wrote ”Control Denotes Ownership”. If you can dispose of something than you are its effective owner. In America Today how much “Private Property” do any of us truly own?

The Government today uses three main ways to reduce your “control” over your property. That is through taxation – the outright seizure of your property – through inflation which is the devaluation of your money (which is one half of every transaction you enter into) and through regulation in which your control of your property and person are greatly reduced and in a lot of cases totally usurped by the State.

Right now the US Federal Government owns about 30% of the Land in the United States.  The Federal Government through the Bureau of Land Management (which sounds like a Department in Communist Russia )controls 32% of known Oil Reserves, 35% of the Natural Gas and 37% of Coal that is produced today off of “Public Lands” in the United States. It is also estimated that 68% of all undiscovered Oil reserves and 74% of undiscovered Natural Gas deposits are located on “Collectively Held Land”. How can there exist a “Free Market” in Land and Energy when the US Govt has a respective market share of 30% and 35% currently and a virtual monopoly on these commodities in the future?  This is the outright ownership by Government. It doesn’t include the 4 million miles of roads in the US, the schools, the hospitals, the airports, the historic monuments, the Federal Office buildings, the Dams, Tennessee Valley Authority, and the other Collectively Owned acres in the US at the state, county and city level.

Now the Federal Government you would think would not have any say in how the other property that is privately held is utilized because we’ve all been told there is a Free Market in America. You would be wrong. Entire agencies exist to “Control” what goes on “Privately” held land. The biggest example is the EPA. In their eyes there is not Private Property. Recently the agency even tried to list every ditch on Privately Owned Property as navigable waterways which would have expanded their control over million more acres of private property.

Now the Local Government’s of cities and counties exercise a different kind of “ownership” on the rest of the so-called Privately held land in America. They do this through zoning laws and regulations, and property taxes. And it is by the levying and collection of Property Taxes that effectively ends the myth of Privately Held Land in America. This is a clear example of how the State (Which I include all levels of Government in) views yourself and your property. You are just a tax number and so is your property. In essence property taxes are rent paid to the State. If you don’t pay the State will remove you from said property and sell it to cover the taxes on it. This is another example of how we operate within a  “Faux Free Market” in America Today.

Another mess where Property Rights are being Violated and the “Free Market” no longer exists is in the Healthcare Industry.  Over 60% of the Health Care dollars spent in the US are Government dollars which are the confiscated property of individuals or groups of individuals. And then the Government inefficiently spends these dollars within a cartelized Insurance, Hospital, Doctor and Pharmaceutical Industry.  Again the Faux Free Market at work. Cathleen Sibelius said in testimony that the Private Market of Health Care was in a death spiral. She is corrected but she didn’t explain why. It’s not because of the “Free Market” in Health Care, it’s because Government Health Care has all but killed the HealthCare Free Market.

The Mortgage mess is at the heart of another example of the destruction of Private Property and the “Faux Free Market” at work. In the United States today over 95% of all mortgages are backed or owned by the US Federal Government. That industry like health care has been already effectively “Nationalized”. Anyone who believes the “Free Market” created the mess we are in is either dishonest or ignorant.

None of this would be possible without the Income Tax and the Federal Reserve. Today through the Income Tax Americans have been conditioned to  view their income not as property. Through the withholding we have been accustomed to allowing our “real” property of today which we have a right to control and dispose of as we wish to be; forcibly exchanged for ephemeral promises of politicians for Social Security and Medicare in our old age. We have been conditioned to believe income is not property, that taxes are not theft, and that plunder is somehow to our benefit.

It is not only through direct taxation that the politicians steal our property but it’s also through inflation. When the Federal Reserve prints dollars or adds zeroes to Bank Deposits at the Fed they are destroying the value of your property, your money. It is destroying how much you can exchange each dollar for. That is why prices rise. It is done so that the Federal Government can continue to spend to increase the of the Welfare/Warfare State. They have to do this otherwise in order to cover the 3.7 Trillion dollar budget of which forty percent is borrowed money, they would have to directly tax individuals an additional Trillion Dollars a year!!! Even though most Americans don’t feel the chains around their necks now, they would soon feel the tug of an extra Trillion dollars confiscated from them every year.

Neither Obama nor Romney talk of Property Rights in this country. One side may give lip service to the Free Market but never talks about your Fundamental Natural Right to Self-Ownership and ownership of your justly acquired property. That is because what these two men are vying for is control over the State; which can only continue to exist if you relinquish your right to total self-ownership and to allow your property to be plundered at will by politicians.

Private Property begins with self-ownership. If you don’t own yourself than who does? If you can’t determine how best to dispose of your time who will? The same goes for your Property.

In order to live individuals need property. How to acquire that property is the question. Either that property can be acquired by force or through production and voluntary exchange. Today unfortunately through the ballot box, taxation and inflation more and more Americans are receiving stolen property. That is the problem today. The problem today is not that we need more “jobs” in this country. The problem is that we need to restore to every Individual his/her God-Given right of Self-Ownership and God-given right to the fruits of his/her labor.

Only when individuals are free to make their own choices in their life, determine what they want, and then proceed to attempt to get what they desire through production and voluntary exchange will we truly operate within an environment known as the ”FREE MARKET”. The Free Market is predicated on Private Property and until the Government ceases to coercively interject itself into every single transaction conducted in this country everyone who blames the “Free Market” for the mess we are in must instead place the blame where it truly belongs.

I’ve been told by a lot of Conservative and even some Libertarians that if I don’t vote for Romney I’m voting for Obama. Why Should I have to compromise my principles? Why shouldn’t those people who feel they have to vote for the Right-Statism of Republicans have to tell the Republicans that their platform is driving votes away. Doesn’t it make more sense that Romney and the Republics are the one’s who have abandoned principle? Why should I join them? That doesn’t make any sense. Those who believe that a vote for a Third Party Candidate – Like Gary Johnson is a vote for Obama have disregarded the entire idea of the sanctity of Private Property and Individual Liberty. If we don’t have principles to guide our decisions we are only left with expediency and that is exactly how we got into this mess in the first place.

All the Republicans have to do to get my vote is talk about the sanctity of Self Ownership and my God-given right to keep and dispose of my justley acquired property as I see fit.  That’s it. No Abortion, No Defense of Marriage Act, No Management of my life or the Free Market. Then they might get my vote. This supposed political choice we have is the epitome of the “Faux Free Market” we suffer under today in America. You have only two crappy choices neither of which are determined by the Free and Voluntary Choices of Individuals. The whole idea is crazy. Your life and property and liberty are at stake and you are supposed to roll over to the Least Evil Political Corporation.

(I have stopped reffering  to the Democratic Party or the Republican Party as “Parties”. That is a way the collectivists distort the language. These two entities are “for Profit Corporations” who steal their revenue through taxation and use fear and hate to gin up “voluntary” donations.)

The Republican Corporation  I’m supposed to Vote for to secure my life, liberty and property are they themselves Fascist/Collectivists. Listen to the language of their Platform

” We recognize and honor the courageous effort of those who bear the burden of parenting alone, even as we believe that marriage the union of one man and one woman must be upheld as the natural standard, the goal to stand for, encourage, and promote through laws governing marriage” Do you still believe you own yourself?

I’m not gay but if the Republicans are willing to govern marriage in this way they will do it in others as well. Wait they already have done that with drug prohibition, prostitution prohibition and the prohibition of gambling. If you can not choose to live as you wish when you are not violating the self-ownership or property rights of another there is no need for being governed, which always means to be limited.  It all boils down to the fact in their eyes we do not own our person or the choices in our lives.

And the Bureau of Land Management govern public lands like the Oil rich areas in Alaska the same way the politicians govern our lives: ” In addition to carefully considering what is fact and what is opinion everyone involved in making decisions about ANWR and energy in general will need (backed by the barrel of a gun) to seek innovative approaches and work collaboratively to find alternatives that can be accepted by all.”

The “Innovative” solution and the one that could be accepted by all is to allow Individuals to Truly Own themselves, their choices and to have all land privately held in America. Not more arrogance of politicians and bureaucrats who have no business owning property in America or owning the decisions we should be making for ourselves.

I hope that this post will spark folks to  see every debate being bantered about by politicians, pundits, professors and priests is all about the fight between self-ownership and collective ownership. If you own yourself you need no external “governance” or “limiting”. Experience and the pain of failure are all you need to help steer you to make better life choices.

Morality has always been about Property Rights and will continue to be so. Only the “Morality of Liberty” will ensure that no one violates your right to your life, liberty and property. The Democrats and Republican Political Corporations have a different Morality. They believe they have a right to take everything from you, including your life if enough of the “voters” are behind them.

In the end the question is :” Whose property are you?” Does your life choices belong to the Republican Political Corporation? Or does it belong to the Democratic Political Corporation? When it’s placed in those terms no one on Earth would allow Apple or Coke’s board to determine how they should live. Sure they use Advertising which is a whole other blog post to influence your behavior but its only those two Political for Profit Corporations that use the Force of Government to violate your person, property and liberty on a daily basis.

The extinguishing of the Free Market is as much a function of the Republican Political Corporation as it is the work of the Democratic Political Corporation. And as Lew Rockwell said the sooner that most Americans believe we all will be better off if we lived without the State, the sooner we can get back to being free to become the individuals we are capable of becoming.

You own yourself and the product of your labor. You yourself is the beginning of your Private Property. Your Privacy is an extension of that Fundamental Right to Yourself. Your income is your property. Social Security is a scam. The Federal Reserve  needs to go. The IRS should be ended tomorrow. From the principle of “Self-Ownership” all other Natural Rights of Property exist.

“…(Government)  has placed the collective force in the service of those who wish to traffic without risk and without scruple in the persons and liberty and property of others, it has converted plunder into a right that it may protect it and turn lawful defense into a crime.” Bastiat

Remeber This on Memorial Day…

In True nature of the State on May 24, 2012 at 12:27 am

Memorial Day is a  holiday that most Americans take for granted. They enjoy the unofficial start of summer by making their first pilgrimage to the beach or by celebrating in the backyard with a barbecue. It is a joyous occasion where people relax, eat, drink, soak up the sun and hang out with friends. But the majority of Americans don’t even realize why they have the day off from work.

A few Americans actually follow the spirit of the Federal Holiday and remember those who have died “defending” their freedom in wars waged by the U.S. Government. Unfortunately the list who have died fighting and dying at the behest of politicians is still growing  longer everyday. Those names of the dead and maimed are continually added to the over 1.3  million who’ve already died and to the other 1.5 million who have been wounded fighting under the banner of Old Glory.

But does any citizen really understand why the 2.8 million fellow Americans were killed or wounded fighting in Wars Waged by the U.S. Government?  Most people believe that all the wars the U.S. has fought have been to make the “world (including the U.S. homeland) safe for Democracy?” But when you delve deeper beyond the patriotic propaganda of why the wars were truly waged in the past and continue to be waged in the present you begin to find a disturbing pattern of why the United States Government goes to War. We should all remember on this Memorial day that the wars that the United States of America has waged, have been waged not to protect our freedom but to enrich a very few at the expense of the very many.

Today in the United States the Federal Military and Intelligence budget stands at over a trillion dollars.  That is something that should not be forgotten on this Memorial Day.  Who profits from that defense Budget and who pays for it? In Smedley Butler’s classic Anti-War booklet “War is a Racket” he explains exactly who pays for this horrendous bill.

“The bill renders a horrible accounting. Newly placed gravestones. Mangled bodies. Shattered minds. Broken hearts and homes. Economic Instability. Depression and all its attendant miseries. Back breaking taxation for generations and generations to come.”

Now you would think that statement could have been written to describe the last decade of the War on Terror. In fact it could have been written about any time throughout the History of the United States. He could have been describing  the Indian Wars, the Banana Wars, the Spanish-American War, the War of Annexation of the Philipines, the Great War, or about WWII, Korea, Vietnam or the modern-day War on Terror and current Wars against the Dictators. The same pattern of Aggressive Imperialistic Warfare  unfortunately spans the History of the Untied States of America. And these wars were not waged to protect “the home front”. It was waged to line the pockets of politicians and their friends.

Smedley Butler wrote “War is a Racket” in 1930 in response to WWI. One hundred seventeen thousand American service men died and another two hundred thousand were wounded  in the Great War. Were they killed and maimed in order to make the World safe for Democracy? No. According to Smedley Butler the main reason why the U.S. got involved in the war was so that Great Brittain and France would pay back their war debt. Those killed and wounded during the “War to end all Wars” did so to ensure the repayment of some 5 to 6 billion the allies owed  to various U.S. banks, arms manufacturers and other war profiteers. Today how much blood are U.S. service men giving on the battlefield to pad the balance sheets of defense contractors and banks today?

Even before WWI the United States military and especially the U.S. Marines were used in many wars around the world to ensure huge profits for certain corporations. Smedley Butler (two time medal of honor winner) describes his experience while serving in the Corps:

” I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high-class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.

Smedley Butler says that he was a “gangster for Capitalism”. I believe he was not describing Free Market Capitalism but what we call today “Crony Capitalism” or what some in Iceland call “Devil’s Socialism”. That is when big government and big business get together and ensure that some corporations enjoy the gains while the public shoulders the cost. War is the epitome of the practice of Privatizing the Gains while Socializing the Losses.  War is the greatest example of how Crony Capitalism benefits the very few at the expense to the many. Too bad not many remember that the wars of the past and those of the present  follow this same horrific pattern.

The U.S. military unfortunately continues on spreading the Imperialism of Washington throughout the world with its 900 military installations, 11 aircraft carrier strike groups, and over two hundred thousand U.S. military personnel on foreign soil round the world. This does not lead to an  increased “peace” but only increased pain for some and increased profit for others. And as John T Flynn wrote after WWII that U.S. military presence overseas can be used as a pretext for the next war.

“we have managed to acquire bases around the world…There is no part of the world where trouble can break out where we do not have bases of some sort in which if we wish to use the pretension we can claim that our own interests are menaced. Thus menaced they (the bases)  must remain when the war is over…a continuing argument in the hands of imperialists for a vast naval establishment and a huge army ready to attack anywhere or to resist an attack from all the enemies we shall be obliged to have. Because always the most powerful argument for a huge army maintained for economic reasons is that we have enemies. We must have enemies.”

Today the United States Government continues its policy of “Perpetual War” against “its” enemies. But what we must remember on this Memorial Day is that the United States Government wages wars to benefit the very few at the expense of the very many. Let us remember that we pay the price for the Trillion dollar military industrial complex with higher inflation and higher taxation. We also suffer at home with a continual erosion of our Natural Rights  to the ever  increasing aggressiveness of the “Police State”, put in place to kow the public and  to protect the Federal Government’s growing power. And lets remember the over 6000 who’ve died and another 40,000 who’ve been wounded during the “War on Terror”. They and their families have paid the steepest price of all defending the interests of a few at the expense of everyone else.

If you want to support the troops demand that the wars for profit end. And the only way to do that is to severely cut the military budget and force the Defense Department to only “defend” American land, sea and air.  When you turn off the spigot of war spending, close the military bases around the world and keep our military close to home, we will find that the supposed enemies of the United States of America will dry up over night.

I think it was Garet Garrett a member of the “Old Right” who wrote back in the 1940′s in the midst of WWII that “There are no longer citizens in the world only subjects.” When we accept  increased militarism at home and the inevitable Imperialism that follows abroad, we will continue to be “Subjects” to the State and young Americans will continue to be sent to fight and die in foreign countries to benefit Big Government, Bankers, and their Friends.

We should Remember on this Memorial day that the wars waged by the United States Federal Government “instead of making the world safe for Democracy, American wars have been fought as Nock wrote to “make the world safe for U.S. investments, privileges and markets”. That is not something anyone should be ordered to die protecting.

I’m Not Zombie Feed – The Anti-Collectivist Creed

In Taxes, True nature of the State on January 3, 2012 at 11:51 pm

“I’m Not Zombie Feed” is my new slogan that sums up how I feel.

It’s a protest slogan against the constant chatter from the collectivists for me and others to sacrifice more and more of my life for the benefit of them and others. It is a way of clearly and succinctly telling the world that my life is my own. I will not go quietly into the dark, while the “majority”  decides how much of my life I can keep.

Every man’s life is his own. He is the only one who is responsible for the choices he makes. No one Earth has a claim to his life, his liberty or his justly acquired property. This is the philosophy of Individualism. Every individual is an end to himself and not a cog in a machine or part of the “masses”.

Collectivism is the opposite to Individualism. It posits that an individual only exists to serve others. It’s basic tenet is that Society can only exist if everyone sacrifices their will, their property, their life,  for everyone else. Those who advocate Collectivism coincidentally are the one’s who are the “priests” of the State and receive these “life” sacrifices. While they seem to forget to adhere to the idea of “sacrificing themselves”, because they have so much important work to do in order to facilitate the slaughter and sacrifice of others to feed the helpless masses.

Do you believe that your life is your own? Do you believe anyone has a prior lien against your labor because of their need? Do you believe just because enough of your neighbors get together to form a majority you should be forced to give up your home, your bank account, and your life simply because they “vote” for you to do that?

Today we are asked to sacrifice more and more of ourselves to others. Unfortunately the majority of Americans, who I like to call the Apathetic Americans, are no better than Zombies.

If you do not think for yourself and you consume the life of another then you are a Zombie.

A man is only alive if he consciously chooses how to live and does so by not “cannibalizing” the life of another. Today in America we are asked to have our hat in hand and Sacrifice 50% or more of our life to the State who reallocates that life to others because of their political influence or because they are part of a “voting block”. This is all done by force. But on the same hand it is done with the consent of the Majority.

I call everyone who is tired of being “fed” to the “Zombies” to start replying when anyone asks you to “pay your fair share” or tell you that “paying taxes is your patriotic duty” or when they try to explain taxation with the bullshit “social contract theory”  that ”I”M NOT ZOMBIE FEED. MY LIFE IS MY OWN. I LIVE FOR NO ONE EXCEPT MYSELF”.

That is what I’m saying now. I’m making up and selling wrist bands and t-shirts that say this. I want to see a revolution of rational self-interest in America. I want to replace the Apathy and Entitlement thought processes that goes through most American’s heads with  the old-school Pioneer way of thinking of  that “I can Handle anything that happens” and that ”I will live my life as I choose”.

The Slogan “I’m Not Zombie Feed” is a summation of what I believe. I believe taxation is cannibalization. Your expenditure of energy used to produce a product or service that another person voluntarily purchases is siphoned off or “chewed” off by the IRS (THE HALL OF SACRIFICE) and “fed” to others (ZOMBIES). Of course the cannibals who rip off your flesh take their cut and then  pass the scraps out to the “Zombies” whom they rely upon for popular consent, to continue acting as the Priests of the State.

This is a primal event. That is why so many people are up in arms about taxation because they feel that their life is being stolen from them. But when those who feel that their lives are being stolen attempt to defend themselves they fail to get to down the basic premise of the theft of their life energy and instead debate on the collectivist’s turf and in turn get sucked into a debate about policy, politics or even worse “economics”. It  all boils down to the simple question: “Do you believe you own yourself?”

That is what all the debates about taxation and regulation should come down to. Make the Collectivist who is asking for more and more of your life or more accurately demanding it at the barrel of a gun, to admit that they think you don’t own your life or that you only own the portion of life that the State allows you to keep.

If you do belive that your own your self then you are “NOT ZOMBIE FEED”. If you don’t believe that you own your body then you don’t believe others do either. So this sets up a perpetual conflict of every citizen against every other citizen in a Collectivist Socieyt. If no one has a right to their own lives then possession of a person belongs to the largest “gang” who will fight to be fed the life of others and prevent their members from being fed to someone else. That is the destructive nature of any collectivist system. Each individual, each group, each department tries to get enough power, through numbers to cannibalize the others before they themselves are devoured. It is a state of war. Individualism which is slammed as “selfish” and “destructive” is the only humane way to live. Otherwise individuals are alive only at the whim of the majority. And history is full of examples of the majority turning on “individualists” and labeling them enemy of the “People” because they were profiteers, capitalist, or worse selfish. Those throughout History who screamed in their own way that they weren’t Zombie Feed were summarily killed by the Collectivist States.

In the Last century the collectivist nations deemed about 170 million of their own citizens threats to the collectivist ideology and murdered them by starvation, shooting, hanging, boiling in oil, drowning and every other way you can imagine a human being can kill another human. Why is this not brought up in every conversation about the difference between individualism and Collectivism?

These ideas have consequences. The more you allow your life to be fed to the Zombies the more the Zombies will grow. Once they are sufficient in number they will consume everyone who is not a Zombie first and then they will consume their current caretakers and then turn on each other.

The Slogan “I’m Not Zombie Feed” is not supposed to be funny or ironic. It is a statement of fact. I am not a sacrificial animal to be slaughtered and offered to the living undead. I am a man in full. The more people you can help educate about the importance of individuality and self-responsibility the less Zombies there will be and the less government necessary to offer the sacrifice of the living to the walking undead.

The Zombies today are not helpless . Zombies come in all shapes, sizes, socio-economic levels of society, what they share in common is that they believe government should steal the life of others in order to feed it to them. When they stop believing the government propaganda they too can be brought “back to life”. Once they start using their NeoCortex in rational thinking and refuse to feed upon the life of others they too will be able to say not only they themselves are not  Zombies; but they themselves will be able to say proudly to the world of Collectivists that they are “Not Zombie Feed“.

I’m tired of being told that my life is not my own. I’m tired of being told that I have to prove I’m not a criminal in order to travel. I’m tired of being told that I don’t own the product of my labor and I don’t have a choice in what I put in my body or how I spend my life. I’m tired of having 50% of my life cleaved off and fed to others. Our job who believes this too is to provide the Zombie inoculation to those who are content with the status quo.  And that Anti-dote to Zombism is the Truth.  The Truth about Liberty and Individualism. That is the only weapon that can turn the tide against the swarming Undead.

The school system in America is designed to produce Zombies by the millions. The America education system was adopted from the German model whose only purpose was to educate citizens to become obedient cogs and competent enough to operate the machinery of the industrial revolution. That’s it. The citizens were never meant to think rationally, or how to innovate, or to appreciate the Liberty that made this country the most prosperous of any Nation in the history of the world.

The State has no interest in self-reliant, self thinkers. They want conformity. They want dependence. They want to be on top and then feed the different groups to each other. The House of Representatives is not a factory of law like some like to refer to it but it is an abattoir, a slaughterhouse of humans. It is where a majority decide how much life should be cut off of some individuals to be fed to satisfy the desires of others. They say that you shouldn’t watch how bills are made because it looks like making sausage. That is appropriate but it’s also an insult to butchers. Because at least the butcher kills the poor animal before carving him up. But the Legislators (human butchers) cut pieces off of live human beings to be fed to sustain the life of others. It is cruel. It is literally killing people by a thousand cuts.

Is your life your own? Do you want your life energy stolen and fed to others? Of course not. The more of your life energy that you are left to keep the better your life will be. You are the captain of your fate. You decide what’s best for you. You live to satisfy your desires. That is your purpose of your life. Your mind, your body, your labor, your production, your words, your thoughts are yours, and no one has a claim on them. You are a minority of one. No majority on Earth can take away your God-given Right to your life, Liberty, and property.

So when you hear a politician talks about a bill or law that cuts off a piece of your life to feed to others just think in your mind or scream it at the top of your Lungs “I’M NOT ZOMBIE FEED”!!!

Consent or Die – The paradox of the idea of the consent of the governed

In True nature of the State on December 6, 2011 at 12:02 am

When the IRS takes by force your property that is the only choice you have.

Consent to the theft or die.

Take the IRS’s modus operandi.  First let’s talk about the origin of the IRS and the tax code. In 1913 in the progressive era, which I call the collectivist era, which incidentally we are still firmly entrenched in, the income tax was approved as the 16th amendment. Now the simple question is did you vote for that? I sure as hell didn’t. Consent clearly not given.

The counter argument states that since I stay in this country I consent to the Income Tax. That is insane. Because I choose to stay in the country that is termed consent. It’s like a woman who walks to her home on a street that a gang claims for their own and members of that gang rape her. Well if she hadn’t been on that street she wouldn’t have been raped. But that’s where she lives. That is a form of locational consent. That’s of course an absurd analogy but it does highlight the absurdity of the position that locational consent is somehow the same as conscious consent. The problem too with locational consent is that there is no land on Earth you can put your home that a “Gang of Government” has not laid claim to. So no matter where you lay your head a government is there to “rape” you, and you consent to it because you live there. But if you leave you’d be consenting to being raped by another Government Gang. That is a false choice. The only choice is how badly and often the raping occurs.

Okay so they’ve got my locational consent because I don’t want to or can’t currently afford to travel to some other government’s turf, I work because I desire to live. The Government wants their cut. So the Congress which in no way  representatives me passes a bill to set the tax code. First done in 1913 and subsequently done in just about every Congress since. This is the second way they say they have my consent. My representative voted to continue to steal my money. Except I’m not represented by anyone in the Government. They do not know me or my interests. If I contact them. They don’t care. So how can anyone claim Representative government which in the U.S. is 534 people for 330,000,000 be equal to consent? Even if they do listen to you or your representative wins they will still pass laws, and every law carries the paradigm, “Consent or Die”.

Okay so they’ve got your locational consent.  You’ve voted at least once in your life so you’ve given your consent to the “system”. That is a form of consent they claim. Why do you think they have the “Vote or die” campaign? The campaign is close to being correct. The State’s motto is actually “Consent or Die” .

Now the IRS is firmly entrenched and accepted by individuals in this country. The idea is that that’s the way it’s always been.  I must pay taxes because I live here and I’ve participated in the political system. Maybe my candidate wins or doesn’t but either way I will “Pay’ my fair share. The whole Render under Caesar bit is often cited along with the pay my fair share, by many well-meaning other wise hard-core dedicated freedom lovers. That line was meant as a rebuke to the Pharisees who were paid in Roman coins with the image of the Emperor on it. It is not an admonition to pay taxes at all. It’s a rebuke to those who worship at the altar of the State. Very anti-statist. remember who canonized the New Testament. EMPEROR OF ROME!!!

To see if you really have a choice in a matter look at the consequences if you choose the opposite of what you are currently doing. If the IRS comes to take your property and you withdraw your consent and you persist in that choice : THEY WILL KILL YOU. They come to take your property because 100 years ago people you’ve never met decided to pass an income tax on the 1% of the country and you live in this country and you don’t physically resist.

Now what if you’ve come to the conclusion that taxation is theft (which it is) and you refuse to pay your bill from the IRS. They will send nasty letters, then they will put a lien on your checking account.  What if you close out all your bank accounts? Then they will come and seize your property to settle the ‘bill”. If you continue to choose not to allow them to take your property, they will try to arrest you. If you decide to withdraw your consent to them taking you  into custody, which will make it easier for them to steal your property, then they will you force and THEY WILL KILL YOU!!!

All interactions between citizens and government is consent or die. That is a scary thought. If you defy their regulations and then refuse to pay the fines and then refuse to be taken into custody; THEY WIll KILL YOU!!!

There is no question to why individuals choose to consent or to die. Most human beings will choose slavery to death, servitude to imprisonment. That is what Government’s throughout history have taken advantage. It is a basic fundamental desire to live. A life even under the worst circumstances is still life. A noose that is only tightened down snuggly but still allows for strained breathing is still better than it tightened all the way.

If you decide to buck the system and withdrawal your consent either individually or part of a revolution then you’ve made a different choice. Your paradigm has shifted. You now are basing your choice upon Liberty or Death, instead of Consent or die. It’s a different way to view the world. I don’t know of anyone whose forced the hand of the State to martyr themselves because they’ve withdrawn their consent to a victim.

“All Evil requires the sanction of the victim.” Ayn Rand

But there is another choice. Cut the rope. Eliminate the concept of the State all together. Until that happens my goal is to loosen the noose as much as I can, take deep breaths and enjoy my life.  You can still pursue your definition of happiness but the choices we have are limited by this noose. I like to think about and work towards a world where we can breathe freely and not be in fear of being “raped” because of where we live.

False Choices the Government Gives the People

In Liberty, Taxes, True nature of the State on October 19, 2011 at 10:35 pm

Why is it that in only 100 years the Federal Government has become this monolithic creature which we the individuals in this country have no control over?

The Politicians and Pundits say we can’t cut Federal Government Spending to be in line with Revenue, we can’t bring the troops home because we wouldn’t be safe and we can’t lower taxes because we can’t cut spending and we can’t bring the troops home because that would make us less safe hurting the economy and thus decreasing revenue which would cause the budget deficit to grow larger which would mean that taxes will need to be raised.

This vicious cycle keeps us all in bondage. We are slaves and our fetters are taxes and regulation.  Our lives are continually being directed by the mind and the hands of other people whom we never see nor have any control over. This includes the Federal Reserve and the plummeting value of our money.

False Choice: We have to choose between slowly balancing the budget over a long period of time or  wait to do it in the distant future when times are better because doing it now would hurt the economy.

This premise is flawed on two accounts.

1. Government can’t create wealth it only destroys it. The people would be  be 15 trillion times better off if its spending ways are curbed or eliminated all togehter.

2. Government is a man-made institution not some force of nature that has to be “reigned in”. It is the result of conscious decisions made  by human beings. These decisions have consequences and we are suffering under them. Human thought and action creates and sustains Government. It can also limit and eventually eliminate it.

The budget can be balanced tomorrow if the people demanded it.

The reason that the budget won’t be  balanced tomorrow or eliminated all together (That’s what I would like to see.) is that too many people are net benefiters and the people who are net losers don’t realize it. The net benefiters are  parasites and don’t want their hosts, the tax producers, to realize that they are in fact siphoning off their life. Why would any of the tens of millions receiving tax payer money want to lessen their cut? It goes against human nature.

So on one hand the State anesthetizes the host, the productive in society, with propaganda and talk of patriotism . When the parasites grow too numerous per host and the hosts grow weaker they begin to  feel the pain of the parasite feeding. The words of the pundits, economists, and politicians  fail to fog their mind sufficiently and they begin to see clearly that they are the prey of parasites.

What does the State do when the hosts try to get rid of the parasites?  It uses the threat of force or actual force to make sure the host doesn’t find a way to stop the parasites from feeding.  This is a diabolical scheme that goes way beyond “money” or “regulation”. It deals with the only real capital on Earth and That is human life.

The State and its dependents live by consuming the life of others. I’ll explain this concept under taxation is Cannibalization. I believe Human Sacrifice is alive and well in America and around the world. It is partial human sacrifice mostly with taxation and regulation but at times the State does murder others in order to keep the rest in line.

The Tax Consumers are bankers, Federal Reserve, Foreign Nations, Defense Contractors, Non Profits, the U.N., Politicians and their families, Agriculture, Energy, and everyone who is a net tax profiteer from the system. No one talks about those who net a profit from the Federal Government’s handouts or from its regulations.  Why isn’t that “profiteering” attacked by the Occupy Wall Street Folks?

So all of these disparate Tax consumers prop up the current system. The politicians claim their hands are tied when the Tax Producers complain. They say “it’s not mathematically feasible to balance the budget overnight.”  As Penn Gillette would say that is”Bullshit”.

I don’t care about the numbers. If a thief  steals your debit card and pays for his living expenses out of your checking account then gives the rest of your money to the “needy” do you allow him to continue to do so?  Do you say oh I’ll wait till he begins stealing it from others before I tell him to stop or wait till there are no more “needy” people left in the world.

Need will always exist in this world. Every human being is born into this world naked and hungry. Its only by using reason to enlist the cooperation of nature does man find shelter, food, and life in this world.

Another False Choice: You must be Taxed more or you will be allowing  children to starve and kill old people because they can’t get medicine.

The only money the Fed’s have is that which they steal from us. Individuals are altruistic toward others in need. We don’t need an intermediary to steal from us and give to others. In a Free Market Society without Taxation there would be a lot more individuals who could and would take care of themselves eliminating the need for a lot of charity.

False Choice: Fair Tax, Flat Tax or Modification of Current Tax Code.

If you believe in Natural Rights than in my opinion you must consider taxation as Theft. It doesn’t matter what costume a thief is wearing or how many of your neighbors tell him its okay to steal from you. Nor does it matter where who he gives the money to after he steals it from you.  The act is still theft.

In my own mind I take the description of the act of taxation a step further. I believe that Taxation is Cannibalization. So how can I have a debate about the tax code when I believe taxation is consuming my life?

Here’s how I came to that conclusion. Think about it another way. Taxation steals your money, and what does money represent? Money equals time.  Okay if money is time than what is your time? Your time is simply your life. Taxation steals your life!!!

Taxation is cannibalization. It is when one individual feeds upon the life of another in order to sustain his life. If people began to view the tax consumers as life consumers, as cannibals than the discussion will now be grounded in reality.

So the False Choice that one politician gave us was through a famous line “It’s patriotic to pay your taxes.” He is asking you to voluntarily sacrifice your life for the life of others. But the false choice is the “voluntary” part. If the taxes were voluntary why would the IRS and Federal Agents kill you if you decided not to pay your taxes?

The scenario would go down like this. You decide that taxation is not only theft but it’s more akin to cannibalization. You decide that you will not “voluntarily” pay your so-called tax bill nor will you allow them to forcibly take your pound of flesh. The IRS does not like this to say the least so they embark on a process to forcibly collect your “voluntary tax”.

Their first step is to go to their buddies the banks and order them to steal the money out of your checking account and send it to them. But your too smart for that and you have already closed out all your bank accounts. Why do you think they want everybody to have a bank account?  Next they try to target your employer to garnish you wages. They know they’ve got companies over a barrel with regulations and their own corporate “voluntary tax” mess. But again you’ve out smarted them. For the last few years you’ve worked full-time on your farm and now your are self-sufficient. Anything you need you trade for.

The IRS now shows its true colors. Every action the State takes is backed up the barrel of a gun. They come to your farm and to steal your livestock; your two goats one cow and a chicken will be sold at auction to cover your  “voluntary tax bill”.

Wait a minute,  you’ve worked hard for years and expended your time and energy in order to work the land, grow the corn and tend to these animals. You’ve mixed your labor with the factors of nature in order to procure and then raise those animals. They represent your past, present and future, a portion of your life. The IRS only knows that you owe them “Money” so they will sell these creatures at auction to pay your “Voluntary Tax Bill”.

You believe in your God-given right to self-defense. So when the thieves in costumes (Federal Thugs) show up you to steal your property you decide to defend it. You warn them. That is more than they would do for your, but they ignore your warning and go straight for your barn. You present a shotgun as you would to scare off any other thief and are  summarily executed by heavily armed agents in combat gear. Your life is sacrificed to the god of the State and now all your property will be laid upon its altar.

The idea that Taxes are voluntary is wrong.

False choice: We can’t bring the troops home because we won’t be safe if we do.

How does stealing my life through taxation and giving it to Drug Dealers, Dictators and tribal chieftains around the world make me any safer? How does building vast Aircraft Carriers parked off the coast of other nations  and developing  micro drones used for assassination make me any safer?  How does sacrificing our young men and women on the altar of this false choice make me in any  safer?

The only people who won’t be safer if we pull the U.S. military  home are the corporations who use the military to protect their overseas assets. Without the guns of the Department of Defense many corporations couldn’t cozy up with dictators and Totalitarian States in order to enter markets closed to those who don’t have political connections.

I think the odds of my life, liberty and property are hell of a lot more likely to be violated by the American Federal Government than any other Government on Earth. So I will take my chances and have the troops come home.

And  I believe more and more of the soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines are waking up to the fact that what they are ordered to do has nothing to do with my safety or their families’ safety. It’s about the large corporations using politics and force to gain market share in Totalitarian and Corrupt Countries around the world.

This has played out over and over again through by the U.S. throughout its history. Read up on how Hawaii was illegally annexed and how the Doles benefited from that or how the Marines were used in Central America to secure land for them. Read up on how the U.S. military began intervening in the Middle East because of Standard Oil . The list goes on and on.

The false choice is that if we do not fund a huge military we will all be less safe. This is wrong. The Founders warned against standing armies for eventually they are turned on their own people. And even if they are not they will bleed the people dry.

Don’t buy into the False Choices that the Politicians, Economists, and Pundits give you. Think for yourself. Your Life, Liberty and your justly acquired Property are yours and no one else’s. Don’t let anyone tell you that you must sacrifice for the “greater good”. There is no “Economy”, or “Country” or “GDP” or “National Security”. These are all collectivist terms used to destroy the individual and further enslave you into their system. The economy you should worry about is your own and the economy of the people you choose to love, the only security that you are responsible for is your security and the security of the people you choose to love, the only collective that matters is the free associations that you choose to be a part of.

That’s My Take
